Mk1 1.8l block microbus pistons with 1.4 head
Hi guys. I need some advice. I have a 1.8 block with 82.48 microbus pistons with a 1.4 head. I am currently experiencing blowby so I want to take the engine to the engineers to check the bore and pistons. However I have come across a 2l head for free from a friend that's been ported and flowed with bigger valves,when I took it to an engineer he said the head has been skimmed too much already and that if I use it the head gasket won't last. However my tuner says that he has seen heads that are worse and I should use it. Any advice would help. I was thinking about a double gasket? Or a thicker gasket ?
