ECU NOT READING THROUG PORT

hI Guys

need some advice, I got my self an extra Ecu 1.8 mp9,
Before decoding it today i count get response from the ecu via obd port
Today i got decoded it runs fine , no problems, only thing I cant get it connected

Only getting connect to jetta mk3 which runs with a immobilizer control box

Im just wondering in case my ecu packs up

just to add to my post i have the short harness with obd port and i can communicate to my ecu that use for the car
