Engine swop golf 2

Post by llewellyn.xavier »

So my golf 2 k-jet just blew it's head gasket again and I'm tired of it now, I'm looking for the easier direct swop motor, I know all of them are going to require rewiring and whatnot.

Just looking for the best option requiring the least changes to engine layout and piping ect.
Obviously the same/more power will be a plus but I'm looking for reliability.

Plus if anyone knows the best place to get this recon engine that would help too

It would help if we knew your location ... and what engine you have in there too.

I guess ADY/AGG motor will be a good start. Check the pricing and fuel management that is convenient for you. Good luck

Thanks for the responses, I was looking at the ABA motor, my biggest question how hard is the wiring ? Going from k-jet to electric injection

It depends on you skill and if you have done some wiring before. I've done some wiring on different machines so reading a diagram is essential
