Headwork and ecu tune

Post by Kyle28rsa »

I have a 2l 8v ady cylinder head that had some work done. Work that was done is as follows:

Port and gasflow
Double valve springs
276h cam fitted

If i fit this head back onto the block with the stock 2l mp9 ecu still intact, would the ecu adjust accordingly for the changes/ would i have to adjust air to fuel ratio/ would i have to get an aftermarket ecu?

You would need management to get the most out of your mods

Thanks for the info. Would it be able to run normally (without taking advantage of the work done) without management

Yes but the mp9 might struggle a bit with idling with the 276

Yes but the mp9 might struggle a bit with idling with the 276
Meaning it would die out sometimes

Yes but only on cold idle. Does the throttle body have a manual idle screw installed? When I fitted a 282 on my ADY with spitronics management it did not want to idle at all when cold. It only idled once up to temp
