hi i have a 1.6 hm motor..i got 1.8 16v pistons i wanna put in....can i keep my 1.6 crank & condors just bore the piston size & only swap out the pistons... will it make a difference in power?

It will most certainly make a difference in power. You will also have to always run high octane fuel or octane boosters as the compression ratio will be in the region of 13.5 to 14:1 so even higher than a LOT of racing engines. so Something in the region of 120 octane fuel will do nicely. You can buy that at some of the performance outlets in SA at around R1000 per 20l last time I checked. Or you can constantly mix zylene and toluene and add to your fuel to give you that.

Just do the 2.0 ADY conversion and get over and done with it

thank you so much didn't wanna take in the block if i was wasting my time....& i also wanna know if i fit a 1.8 head will it help with power? as i have a 276cam & 36dcd down draft, on my current 1.6 hm head

1.8 head is identical to the 1.6 head.
