is therefuel pressure, is it pulsing the injectors , is there compression, is the cam timing correct.

Then it will run.
Every engine needs the basics
air
fuel - right quantity at the right time
compression ( which by definition includes cam timing)
Spark at the right time - which by definition includes ignition timing and firing order.
If all of that is present it will run.
Something is missing which is why it isn't running.
Also I am assuming by cracks you actually mean CRANKS ie. it is being turned over by the starter but is not firing.

Hi

I will have a look at maybe one is missing but also check my fuses all are working and being placed correctly.

could it be spark plugs too?

Plugs are part of the SPARK at the right time equation. You said all of that was checked so I am doubting your statement.

You test a spark plug by letting it sit on the engine and cranking it. Not using a multi meter.

so changing stuff is not how you fault find. You have to TEST. Spark is but one part of the equation - what about the others.
And quite recently people have said - we tested X and it works - sending everybody in another direction only to come back later and say - oh it was X.

Hi,

my friend test the electric of the car, only one of the fuel injectors that was not getting power he then made a fix to make sure all injectors are getting power. we tried to start the car by kick starting it. eventually it did start but with a nose on the engine and also going of in few minutes after starting. we about to de-assembly the engine to find out whats going there. if you gave any idea what that sound might be and the sudden turning off , that can be helpful. please if you know advise on what mk4 normal compression ranges from , as my friend is suspecting the pistol rings.
