Golf 1 CTI

Post by Kalz21 »

Hi there

I am having issues with my 1.8 golf 1 CTi.

Everytime I limit the gear the airscrew on the throttle keeps popping out.

Any idea as to what to do with that, because if I tighten it too much then the idle drops and I know it controls the idle.

I just want to drive fast without having to worry about the airscrew popping out.

Please help :hi:

Try putting some lock tight ...if that don't help try to put a nut on the screw to lock it

Hitting the limiter doesn't help with driving fast though :deadhorse:

Vibrations on motor???

That screw should have an o-ring on it to seal and that also helps that it does not adjust itself. Replace the o ring.

You can also dab a bit of locktite thread locker on the threads to help keeping it where it should be.

Maybe the motor is telling u that 5500rpm should be the limit
