Do you have a transponder key? If u do try the spare key and see if that helps.

If you got one that isn't too expensive then give it a try.

After some research it seems this problem has come up a few times with no real answers, I did however find out that the plug I disconnected on the BCM which allowed the car to start is also the CAN Bus wiring. You think they might be a problem? Also you mentioned there should be no lights on the cluster after removing the BCM but it was still doing the same thing? Is the problem really the BCM then?

Try unplugging all the lugs and see what happens.

On the BCM you mean? I did, I completely removed it. Still had the cluster going crazy on the ABS and EPC light

Everything was unplugged but like I said EPC and ABS was still flashing with the buzzer going crazy, just the battery and power steering light went of which allows the car to start. One Auto Elec wants to redo the whole wiring loom the other suggested replacing the negative lead from battery to body which I did and obviously didn’t help at all. Can anyone maybe a recommend a really clued up guy in the Cape Town area?

Got a BCM from Europe for R240 so will just have to wait a week or so and see, it’s like the car is just getting worse

When a car tailgates me, i slow down - then floor it and give them a cloud of diesel smoke to choke on :driving:

I had an a4 audi that some stuff died like the lights and wipers. It would not communicate the the bcm. I found the can us cable, a sinlge small wire plug got kicked out by the driver pushing his foot against the side panel. Plugged it back in and the lights and wipers was restored.
So maybe look for breaks in any of the cables leading to the bcm.

Hi guys, the BCM will be arriving soon, the car is an absolute nightmare to drive, can’t even get my fuel cap to open sometimes. Anyway I presume the BCM will need to be coded to the car? Or some things copied from the old one to the new one? Anyone close by that can do this for me, I don’t have proper VCDS that can do this
