Can anyone help?

Post by MikesDub1984 »

Hi Guys,

Not sure if it was this forum or another but the search function isnt getting me the results i need. Somewhere I saw a picture of a cylinder head that was notched on the base to accommodate a high lift camshaft that would have otherwise caused the cam lobe to touch the base of the cylinder head. I have searched high and low and cannot find this pic. Can anyone pls send me a picture of such a notched/modified cylinder head as I'd like to show someone I know that is not an motor engineer but have the equipment what I want done.

Thanks,

Mike

Read this thread, explains what needs to be done in a post by Torker.

Put the cam in the head. turn it. See where it makes marks in the head. Take a dremel / drill with grinder bit and remove some metal where it touches.
No need to overthink it.

Wikus had this done to his 8v crossflow meth motor when he was still chasing 11s with an N/A motor.

There was a pic in that thread.
