Engine choice for probable Jetta 3

Post by Bismarck »

Hi guys!
Quick question how easy is an 1.8 20vt engine transplant for a Jetta 3?
or would a Abf transplant be a easier route to take??

Regards
H.

Most original vr's are probably wasted by now or lying on a scrap metal heap near you.....

What i'm trying to say is they are about as easy to find ,in good nick, than a chicken dentist.

On the mod side, rate its engine, gearbox, mounts and management along with some odd bits you probably have to change to accompany the new power. Cost wise most probably, more or less the same as what you are planing......
