It's more involved than torque vs weight and I'm only familiar with the basic understanding of it. , Perhaps there's a mechanical engineer on the forum thats willing to comment.

I guess the right gearing will also play a big role in such a conversionICE King wrote:It's more involved than torque vs weight and I'm only familiar with the basic understanding of it. , Perhaps there's a mechanical engineer on the forum thats willing to comment.

Yep , that's where I got lost , gear ratio's and the torque required to move it with having a weight

Funny thing about this is my dayly is a 900cc sandero and it weighs in more than the citi with almost the same power. If you think about the displacement it wouldn't even be a litre of coke and still pull its weight at 1.2t . Staggering were tech is goin nowadays, even though it is turbo charged, still inpressive.ICE King wrote:Yep , that's where I got lost , gear ratio's and the torque required to move it with having a weight
The citi will give it a run for its money any day though

Very impressive , combination of turbo torque with a early peak and gear ratio's gives it a good drive at the bottom rpm's but without the turbo , that thing won't moveDub rox wrote: ↑Thu Oct 18, 2018 9:51 amFunny thing about this is my dayly is a 900cc sandero and it weighs in more than the citi with almost the same power. Re: Any one fitted a5 cylinder to citi golf?
Not that you can call it a turbo, more like a compensator. It has the duel vane low enertia setup and for highway driving does the job. Keep it on 3000rpm in 5th at 130kph and its in its element. Just put foot and your at 150 but runs out of breath at around 170. Still planning mods, just waiting for the warrenty to expire.
