1st & 2nd gear

Hi, I have a Golf 1994 model and unable to get 1st and 2nd gear suddenly. When i try 1st gear, i sometimes get 3rd gear instead. Please help.

Get somebody to adjust your gear linkages. There are probably about a 1000 how to's here. But it's the easiest to take it to a mech that knows how. Of course you supply no info as to where you are so can't give you a reference either.
