No 12v on maf

No 12v on maf

Gents.

I need some help here. Im not getting 12v to the maf on my v5 agz. I get my ground and 5v but not the 12v with the ignition on. Pls can someone point me in the right direction.

Try testing with the car idling, i doubt the ecu would want a maf reading if the engine is off

Hi. I will do so, its just that everywhere I looked it was said to do it with engine off.. Will checke tonight again. Thanx

Ignition on engine not running.
Have you gone through all the fuses.
And are you sure it should have 12v. Not every single maf out there has 12v.

Panic Mechanic! The man.

I picked up a error when I had it scanned yesterday. Car also always felt a bit sluggish. Anyway, the only info I could find was on autodata. I have the 4 wire maf, and it says there that there should be a 12v, 5v, Signal and ground. I get the all except the 12v, with ignition on. I have gone through all the fuses yes. I find very little info on the net regarding a V5.

If I had not managed to break my elsawin I could have looked at the wiring diagram.

Its all good Panic. I cleaned the old maf with switch cleaner and put it back on again. Im seeing the guy later today again to have a look at what vagcom says. I will keep you guys updated.
