Polo vivo epc issue
Howzit guys so I got a 2010 polo vivo 1.4i (CLP)
I'm experiencing a problem where the epc light comes on and the revs pick up to roughly 1200rpm, the car idles rough and there accelerator becomes unresponsive, I'll
Have to switch of and start again.
So far I've cleaned the throttle body.
And the plug that goes into the throttle body.
No luck.

Re: Polo vivo epc issue
My Polo vivo 2013 EPC Light on - Misfire Piston 2. Had the car at Auto electrician 9 times, replaces electric wires. Still unresolved.
When cold the EPC ligh goes on and engine then cuts one cylinder.. loss of power and engine ideles uneven ... Stop engine switch it off.. restart no light car fine, Then it reoccurs until engine hot. Next day the same story, however, the frequency is now increasing.
In the interim changed PencileCoils, Plug
Then took the car to VW. - VW said engine must be opened..... +-38K. They say might be valve seals or piston 2..... no smoke. Oil fine... What can it be?

Compression test will go some way in finding the answer.
Did vw do that?

Re: Polo vivo epc issue
Recommend a compression test and take it from there. Could possibly be an issue with the piston or valve/valve guide which results in drop in compression on that cylinder
