Howzit guys , new here
Got a 01 AFX polo playa , mileage is around 315k with just branch and primaforce 50mm exhaust
Dyno’d last year at AE Performance and it made 70wkw & 131nm
Which surprised me because of its age , it hasn’t lost much
However now I’m thinking about going with the 1.8 piston and crank which I’ve seen do wonders when chipped , wondering if it’s possible to do the 1.8 mod and fit a 16v head? Would it be worth it? Or should I stick with the 8v head?
Thanks
AFX block with 16v head?

Re: AFX block with 16v head?
Hi,
If you want to go 16v on the 1.8 Block its not worth it, the costs of getting it right are just too much. If you want good reliable power rather work with what you have: add a wilder cam , head-work management and exhaust work. this will not compromise reliability nor break the bank compared to the 16v conversion.
If you are serious about a 16v conversion rather save up for a ABF motor instead.

Re: AFX block with 16v head?
You will have to change a lot of things. Correct pistons for the 16v, pulleys etc etc. costs add up very quicly.

Mk3 Golf Shocks and Springs
Howzit guys , got a set of Mk3 Golf shocks and lowered springs lying around here(1 year old) , got them for free . Was wondering if they would fit a 01 Polo Playa?
