Re: HEAT GUAGE PROBLEMS

I had the same issue with my 97 Citi.

Nothing worked, even changed the sender unit, but still it worked sporadically. It was better when it was warm outside or if the car was standing in the sun, sometimes reading normal, but most of the time only half of what it was supposed to or not even lifting the needle from the far left.

Eventually found an old cluster, removed the old heat guage and fitted the "new" guage into the cluster. It's back to normal, working as it should. I have been told that once the heat gauge doesn't work anymore, it cannot be repaired.
