Must be a happy dyno or they accidentally installed a 1.6 block in your car.

Still an impressive figure

I don't think it's a happy dyno because I raced a Toyota 1.4 and those things come 72kw stock if I'm not mistaken

That motor is rated at 55kW at the flywheel, at the coast, in ideal conditions.
At the wheels on a reliable dyno, it would show around 45-50kW at the most.

That 74.4kW reading you got, was it ATW or ATF?

Some dynoday at H&M a while back saw a 1.6 77kW Vivo GT make within 5whp of a 100kW Suzuki Swift. (~90whp atw in Gauteng)

So maybe VW also underrates their N/A engines.

Unfortunately u don't get a 62 kW spec .. u get a 55kw and a 63 kW spec (1.4)
How to know the difference:
55 - door handle , mirrors not painted
63- painted
Another easy way too tell just check your dyno page in the boot or your vin number
My one is a 55 kW got it from brand new
