Hi Guys

I recently noticed that my 8v cam belt tensioner starting to wind after driving the car hard, especially when revving the motor its a very audible noise.

Just wanting to find out will anything go wrong if I continue driving the car with the noisy tension or should I get it changed asap?

Thanks

How old is it? Why not change it including the belt

Not sure how old it is. I got the motor in the car for 10 months and just recently the noise started.

Would be worth doing a cambelt change in that case, it would only get noisy when it starts to wear out and the last thing you want is the tensioner to seize when driving and eat the cambelt.

Change it with a new belt asap.
