VW Golf MK3

Hi guys,

I have a vw golf mk3 1.6i, when i try to accelerate it has no power even going uphill then all of a sudden it just goes. It does not jerk and it idles fine. What could this be does anyone have an idea?

Can be lots of things. Fuel pressure, cracked rail, water temp sender, timing, and lots of other possibilities.
