Hi, so the caddy's petrol pump packed up, can anyone tell me which pump is the correct one to buy, I see at Goldwagen they have the 3.5 bar mp9 pump for the 1.6 Citi Golfs and the 6.5 bar for the kombi's, wouldnt it be better to get the kombi one?

MP9 pump will do the job, afaik.

What ABF pump dud you use before? Was it a Bosch 044?

How was it installed in Caddy? Wrong installation causing pump to surge or run dry will kill the pump.

Looks like a universal inline pump, have been running on that pump for 2 years now, the pump that is in there dont have the 3 pipes like the mp9, only inlet and outlet

This will answer the 3 pipe question you have as it explains how to connect the pipes.

Mp9 pump didnt work, it surged at about 4500revs after installing the pump, installed kombi pump and now working perfect

Ran fine if drive it normal and gradually increasing throttle but from standstill pull away full throttle when revs got high it surged almost like something running out of petrol, but even if it did work I would rather just buy the combi pump, only having two pipes are easier to install and it was about R100 cheaper at Goldwagen than the mp9 pump
