Re: 9a and pl mk1 conversion possible
If motor is hanging too much to the rear, your mounting below gearbox might be sagging out. Getting a new rubber mount or spacer in there will tilt motor more forward and could give you more clearance on brake pipes.

That whole problem is easily avoided by running wasted spark

Re: 9a and pl mk1 conversion possible
Thanks everyone... Will do once i get thing done...
Already had the Dicktator STD for a few years now. Just lying around... So was cost saving...
Did not do enough research beforehand regarding the dizzy...
But anyway going to be selling my brake booster and the new master cylinder to make money available for the big brake upgrade...
And will be doing a booster delete keeping my oem master cylinder. Just a question... Do i need a bias in order for it to work or would the bias be unnecessary?
Would look a lot cleaner.
Then thoughts and budgets need to be gathered regarding next mods...

Re: 9a and pl mk1 conversion possible
Bias valve sits under the car at the rear axle. Not sure how not having it will make things neater? Do you regularly have people looking under your car?

Re: 9a and pl mk1 conversion possible
You have to decide if you need it. Those are normally found on racing cars to turn DOWN the rear braking and the normal factory fitted to the axle bias valve is removed.

Re: 9a and pl mk1 conversion possible
Hi guys so with a little more time available i have done a couple of things.
Replaced clutch again removed the sachs and replaced with the luk (was a struggle finding one) all good now on the gears side.
Added the new bigger brake system and did a booster delete fitted new brake lines as well (sjoe what a pain... Had to display measures of patience tgat i never had)
Now question since the fluid is out do i need to bleed the brakes or can i just fill and test( in the yard of course)

Re: 9a and pl mk1 conversion possible
Do a proper bleed through on the brake system don’t risk testing it in the yard to be fine and no brakes on the roads when you need it.
