fuel in older cars

Hi All
i live in Cape Town, can I use lead free petrol in my VW Beetles 1973 1600 and 1975 1600 twinport

Google is very conflicting, some articles say yes and others say no.

You can get LRP here in capetown. I used LRP and Unleaded in my beetle for years and had no issues.

Take note that i built the engine and had stainless valve seat inserts done on the heads.

Ran for years and was sold and still running daily on unleaded fuel.

Liqui moly makes a lead replacement additave that you can use.
The other alterantive as mentioned is to get stainless valve seats put into the heads.
