Dunair aircon bracket - citi

Post by Stig101 »

Hi guys

I have a 2006 1.6i velociti that was fitted with a dunair aftermarket aircon.

The arm for bracket that holds the pulley has broken off. I have tried all the local aircon places (durban) and no one is able to supply the part.

Does anyone know where I may be able to locate this?

Thank you

yip part was discontinued about a year or two ago. Ask a Silverton store to try get you the part number for it ans see if their warehouse might have any old stock lying around, otherwise you will have to weld your one up or have a new one made. Part was made by Smiths Manufacturing.
It is an ingenius solution to a problem that should have never existed in the 1st place...

Would the factory one used on MK2 models not work? Those are quite solidly cast as well. Post a pic of the one from your car will see if it matches the MK2 one that I have

Thank you for this. Will give them a call and see what happens.

I have contacted dunair but they were unable to assist. Just told me to check scrap yards.

I think there is a bracket for a cli at my parents.

Will compare and see. Just assumed that it wouldn't work
