vw polo playa self adjusting cable

hi guys,

please can you help.
i put a new self adjusting cable on my polo.
never did this before.
do i leave the white clip on or remove it?
i installed the cable about 200kms ago.
still have the white clip on.

Hi there the white clip is only there for installation purposes because it is spring loaded,once it is clipped onto the clutch fork then it can be unclipped and in the event of you wanting to remove the cable again then clip it on again and remove the cable from the fork.BTW what issues are you having with it still clipped on?

Well it ain't adjusting with the clip on and so too short.. Your clutch pedal will feel very low.
Yes remove after installation
