Missfires or rough running
Two possiblemparts to fail -idle motor or tps. Idle motor fail measn car won't idle without you holding some throttle. Tps will make it run bad and perform really poorly
Depends on how rhe map fails ie. Does it give a small signal or big signal. Small signal will make motor very lean somwill start but not rev willingly. Big signal will make it rich so start badly and smell of fuel. Do ok at full throtle but idle badly.

map sensor the most likely culprit but it could also be timing that is out and maybe a few other things. But again to just start guessing at what it 'might' be will see you spending money on something it might not be. Can even be something as simple as a water temp sensor.
What consumption are you getting and did it suddenly change?

You need to get a lambda gauge on it to see whatbthe fuelling looks like.
Again use diagnostic tools like vagcom and interrogate reading blocks tomsee thatbthe items's values lookmcorrect instead of guessing and replacing parts randomly.

Could be timing distributor timing slightly off....can also be a sign of fuel pump or fuel pressure failure
