Starting issues on 2.0 8v

Post by Zeyad »

Hi guys, need some help/advice urgently please.. Ok so firstly i drive a velociti with 2.0 8v ady with 282 estas running on dictator std.

In the mornings when i start the car she starts with the first swing and i give it a lil fuel then let go so she idles.. But once i drive it and the car has warmed up if i switch off and try to start again it starts for 1-2 seconds and just cuts off sounds as if it misfiring and cutsoff.. I have to try a good few times and eventually wait a a minute or two before she starts with a nice pump of the accelerator.

I always turn the key on.. Wait for all lights to come and then go off, i think just one remains on then i turn again to start the car.

What could be the issue?

Starter was service about 2 months back.
Temp sender was replaced about the same time as well.

On the road the car revs up fine no issues and idles fine when hot.

Help asseblief!

could be signs of fuel rail failure and loosing pressure, next time it happens try crimping the fuel return line and see if it helps.
Also check if you getting spark when this occurs

I am not sure. Don't know much about tuning. Silly question.. Why would it only flood only after i drive the car? What would be the solution?

To put it on tps and retune. Go speak to the guy that tuned it in the first place for a solution or to look at it.

I had the same problem then switched over from vacuum to tps and I drilled a small hole threw the butterfly.
