Hey Guy back again. Test fitted the fuel tank it. might have to "make it fit" as the shape is different. Any ideas? could i possibly use an FI tank from a new spec golf? or do i need this specific tank

Hey awesome that you taking it on.

The idea also crossed my mind even though i have neither cars or engines.

But what i would like to know is on the management side .

Is there other management options besides oem loom?

the petrol engines have other options like dictator spritronics etc.

Tank Q is also on the list of questions

Also the gearbox. Can a normal ffz box be mated ? if it can can it handle the torque of the tdi engine? If this can be matted then it makes life easier also maybe not the ideal setup.

The thing with these questions ,is that here you have a full car, but what if you just hoped to jap motors and got a pd motor can the conversion still be done with minimal oem parts for the tdi?

Cheers

I hear you. I'm literally learning as i go along.

It makes things miles easier if you have a donor car so i'll literally use all that i can and source the things i need.

On the management side of things i'm not too sure. So i'll be going with the factory ECU and loom.

The wiring is a headache though.

One thing is for sure.. it'll be a whole lot harder and more expensive without a donor car

speak to goldwagen delray - they have mounts for the motor & gearbox you can use their cable shift gearbox mount offerings and 20vt engine side mount.
for the fuel tank all you need is a lift pump, high pressure is supplied from the tandem pump.

You more than welcome to PM me regarding any more questions
