Oil in air filter

Post by klausccroth »

Hi all.

I've got what seems to be an increasing amount of oil coming into my air filter (1.6l 8v BAH engine with 220K on the clock).

Could it be blow-by? Compression tests done recently suggest that the piston rings are still in good order?

Well if the compression test tells u that rings are in good order, then have a look at the breather box on the back bottom part of the block, its probably internally broken - common problem.

There is a thread around here explaining the breather box issue.
