hey guys im new to the forum thing so please forgive me if im not technical enough ,,i have a 1980 golf one 2 door which i have been building for the last 5 years . the motor was swaped out for a 1.8 16v kr motor and am running gotech management .frustration is starting to set in first off idling is erratic ,and fuel consumption is horenduss around 15 to 18 l/to a 100km ,,also developed and oil leak I hate oil leaks so any help would be greatly appreatiated

Fix the oil leak and get the management tuned properly by someone who knows what they are doing.

Can you see where the oil leak is coming from?

Hoping it is a gasket or seal leaking.

Agree with others, get it properly tuned. Confirm your injector wiring and trigger pulse setup to injectors from ecu as it could be triggering all 4 injectors on each trigger event.

thanks people oil leak is from the distributor and the cam seal ,,have taken the car to 3 different tuners not winning all they want is money everytime to put it on the dyno with no interest in getting the car sorted ,so yeah not happy ,i have double checked it is wired for sequential and is working correct

Buy the dissy seal from VW dealer as they don't last from anywhere else.

is it a oem dizzy or a aftermarket one.
I may have a dizzy seal found it the other day

aftermarket one still have the original but it needs overalling ,,,thanks for the offer

Get the oil leaks sorted and then find someone that can tune the gotech system for you.

RBTS would be able to sort this for you.
