Polo Playa 1.6i water temp sender

hi all

i recently had over fueling problems. so discovered the water temp sender is faulty
i went to goldwagen and bought one. but the mechanic said that its the incorrect one as it was not yellow.
the one for the car is yellow. is there any difference in the switches coz the one i got has no colour on it.
any help will be great. thanks

You can use either the blue or yellow ones they work, though you would notice the heat gauge will sit either half or just below I use both with no issues. Goldwagen sells the yellow band ones you can ask them for it.

yeah i went to goldwagen then they only had the blue one. then i went to another goldwagen and they gave me one with no colour on it.
