Just look at the date of posts when or before you reply.
Maybe someone else on the interweb who looked up this toppic, got some valuable information. After all thats what we try and do on this forum. Help people with less experiance and know how Image

Awesome. Which bmw 325i. Can you give a year and or a part number. What was the diference in wrist pin. Smaller , bigger. does the piston have circlips holding the pin in or does that have to be machined in. Those are helpfull if you want to be helpfull. Not - oh there is a 325 piston that fits.

Why don't you tell us, you seem to know it all. 2002 Bmw e46 sedan 325i displacement is 2497cm devide by 6 cylinders gives you 416.2 cm times 4 cylinders wich the golf has gives you 1664.7 cm. Thats a down grade in displacement by any standard.

My point being you want to have negative comments on posts like these but not advise correctly. Iinstead just focus on dissing someone with that know it all attetude. I know you are an adviser on the forum and you have a lot of experiance and know how but please advise on the toppic at hand instead of dissing people try and correct them diplomaticly and not try make your self feel better about your own small and un interisting life. We are all here to learn and no one person can know everything in life.

Lets try and remind our selves why we are here on this forum, to help people with less know how and experiance and because we enjoy motor vehicles.

This is strangely a very well supported forum and has been around for a while. I know because I helped create it. Oh say 18 years ago.

Not my point or intension. Just don't understand why you would try and make other people feel small, metaphorically speeking, istead of correcting them and pointing them in the right direction.a

I didn't make anybody feel small. I said he should maybe check the recency of posts before posting on it with info that might not actually help the original poster.... then you jumped on some sort of horse.....

I read it because it came up on my notifications as a unread toppic and found it of interest without actually checking the facts or giving thaught to the vallidity of the claim that you could use bmw 325i pistons. Point being that the toppic was still of interest all be it from way back when........

Just calm down and relax. Through the years you will not believe how many times a new poster comes and revive an old thread. For some reason it always happens on a friday and often you then get people posting all kinds of stuff on things that have been answered for years. We try to avoid that by making people aware that it is an old thread because before long you have a huge rehash of a dead topic.
I'm not trying to belittle anybody and I don't think I ever have. Take a chill pill and enjoy your weekend.
