VR6 Coil pack

Post by shuddz hardstyler »

Hi guys

My coil pack has failed.

Ontop of that I received this reply from Barons:
"Hi Shadley
Price is R7700.00 but there is no stock at factory meaning we will have to order from Germany"

What replacement coil pack would you guys suggest would be best?

Thanks
Shadley

Contact Goldwagen Delarey 011 477 9979 and speak to Viper or Ashley.

He will be able to advice.

YOH :fear:

I'm pretty sure you could do the MSD coilpack upgrade for that kind of money

GW coilpacks seem to be hassle free. I didnt try one myself but I know guys who replaced theirs years ago and have had no issues. IIRC they were somewhere between R1500 and R2000.

Just to let you okes know, put in new pack. Idle was clean and she revved up clean too... drove about 400m and the dreaded misfire was back with a vengeance. Turns out the 3 month old bougis was the issues. Put back 5 of my oem leads and she's doing great again.

So the issue was not the coil pack, rather the leads?

edit: price of GW coilpack ?

yes, the only reason i replaced the leads was because one of them had been taped.

pack at GW costs R1900, Diesel Eclectrical R2020, Autozone Epping R1350.

I paid R950 for a new coil pack at a spares shop in Kensington, took a day to order though.

As per Facebook I told you at the start it was your leads.

GW sell Bremi leads for R1000 and they are perfect.

Are you selling the Coil Pack or going to hang onto it as a spare?
