I've also had some wierd problems with that solinoid. I used a relay to switch it for a while to prevent that coil problem.

36 dcd is a tipe of weber carburator. Its a very simple carb wich makes it easy to work on and has a wide variety of parts so can be converted to work with practicly any size engine.

Dictator i think will give beter performance then mp9 with chip because of all the fine tuning that can be done and will definitely cost less.

@ruted_golf Webers sound great, give great power. Looks good aswell... but tuning can be a pain... and many of the times the webers lose the tuning. Dicktator will be better than mp9... also gonna sell my mp9 and get dicktator soon... If you not planning on a lot of mods, then i would suggest sticking to mp9.

Ok I checked my throttle response as well as air fuel mixture and prob still there so I adjusted the acceleration cable for a temp fix. Last thing to check would be base plate.

Hi all,

I have a vw caddy bakkie 1600 carb. it seems to be doing a similar thing but starts cutting out even when accelerating. its fine in the mornings when its cold but in the afternoon it runs for a while then cuts off and won't even idle. please can you advise as I was on my way home and got stuck on the side of the highway.

Thanks
