jetta 2 branch
Hey gents, I'm new to the forum so pardon the mistakes. I drive a 92 jetta 2 csl 1.6 carb motor. Its gt induction and I want to go the branch route. Could u guys advise me wether its a good option to perhaps ceramic coat it? And if so what branch should I look to buy. Also costing. Thanks

Re: jetta 2 branch
Ceramic coating is a costly exercise on a branch, it costs more to do the ceramic coating than the branch itself, On a 1.6 carb the benefits will be extremely small so unless you are doing it for cosmetic reasons I would say skip the ceramic coating.jetta2stock wrote:Hey gents, I'm new to the forum so pardon the mistakes. Re: jetta 2 branch
I need a few ideas on how to tweak this motor. Got a small 4k budget for now. What could I possibly do to get this motor a bit more lively.

Re: jetta 2 branch
Depending what you can get a branch and freeflow for I would say cam/branch/freeflow could fit in your budget, cam you can probably pick up on the forum if someone is selling, don't go bigger than 276.jetta2stock wrote:I need a few ideas on how to tweak this motor. Viper will definately not fit in your budget, personally I'm a TNT man, they are also pretty expensive though. You can get a quote from Wildcat, maybe try Cowley as well.jetta2stock wrote:Wildcat system or viper?

What are your plans for the future motor wise?

Re: jetta 2 branch
Well I'd like to keep the same motor in as the body has no rust and it looks exactly like the very year the car was made. So I'd like to try and get the most out of this motor before changing the engine
