LOL if you look at my previous comments I was still running an 8V, I've since converted to 16V and now own two potent 16V powered GT's...
I've only ever been in one ABF powered car, and I must say I get why you guys do these conversions
Go check out my rides thread, there's a couple of videos on the last page or two of my single throttle GT in action.

Current rides:

VW Golf - 83 GT 2.1 16V 2-door with throttles
VW Golf - 78 LS 2.0 8V 4-door (2.1 ABF with throttles in progress)
VW Golf - '08 Citi Storm - 1.4 for now
Hyundai - 1.4 Getz (daily)

Fuel consumption should be at least around 550km/tank with a mildly modded ABF, it will be every bit as reliable as the 1.4 as long as you don't abuse it.

Damn how much km's do you get Torker off a tank with your modded motor? I get 450km's if im lucky on a STD motor.... 100-120kmph is my average speed.

There are hundreds of threads on this particular forum and others that answer that very question.

What I do is I just Google as standard and then add "vwclub" to the end of the search query and im presented with a range of threads on this forum.
