Re: 16v cam question
Counter research question. Exactly at what rpm do you want to make power, 10000+ 15000+ or in the more nomal 5000 to say 8000 range.

Re: 16v cam question
Normal range. A set of 272s was recommended for my setup (std 9a with 42mm toyota itbs, no headwork), I'm still waiting on confirmation of the lift. I was also told that 276s will work.panic-mechanic wrote:Counter research question. Exactly at what rpm do you want to make power, 10000+ 15000+ or in the more nomal 5000 to say 8000 range.

Re: 16v cam question
Lift depends on the billet, what duration and what valve springs you run. So if you are getting a special cut for more lift than around the usuall 12 or so then you might need different springs. 272 and 276 will both work. As usual the longer the duration the more torque you lose at the bottom but gain on hp on the top. So the descison is based on what you use the car for. Drags or driving on the road.

Re: 16v cam question
I only needed to pocket pistons with 288's, the 276's cleared easily.
