ABF fuel consumption

Have any ABF users (misusers) found very heavy fuel consumption?
I'm getting in the region of 5km/l
'79 white Golf GLS - sold
'81 GTi 16v oettinger -stolen
'91 GTi 16v - sold
'95 Cli - gave away
'01 Jetta 2.0 - sold
few 1 tonners Toyota ...Ford... Transporter
'00 Subaru WRX wagon - sold
'80 Golf L ABF 16V ongoing project
'09 Tdi 1.6 - sold
'08 Subaru STi
'79 Golf L future project electric???

What management ? Any mods ?
General driving should see you get in the region of 8-11km/l

Tuned car is heavy on fuel mine does 8km/l :sad: hope Lambda will bring it up a bit.

I get 11l/100km average with a few sprints in here and there. I used to get a little better but looking for calprit. Think it could be temp sensor giving false reading.

But if you going to press you foot just to hear the induction. thats your proplem there.

8km/l = 12.5l/100km so thats not bad really.
If you going to drive crazy any car will see terrible figures.


Yip those HP numbers can only be at the coast or at SAC hahahahaha

I have a 150whp (@ KAR) ABF (on Dicktator Standard) in my Citi. If I drive in a relaxed manner I can get from Alberton to Pretoria on an 1/8 of a tank. That's obviously perfect conditions. It is a lot lighter on fuel than my previous 114whp 2l 8v motor. I don't have exact figures yet.
My play: my 2l ABF + throttles Citi toy and Megane RS 275 Finale
