2.0 ADY 8v motor Bought at at Rebel motors in PTA. I have had the engine "registered" to my car / "clearance" (engine number is on my car's license disc).

Modifications:
• Head, intake manifold (runners only) and throttlebody were gasflowed
• Estas 276 degree cam
• Intake and exhaust ports matched
• Valve guides and seals
• 3 angle valve seats
• 3 angle and swirled valves
• Gotech MFI / Mini X fuel management system
• Gotech MFI / Mini X was installed by Domingo from Gotech and tuned by Shane from K.A.R. Performance
• Wildcat 4-2-1 branch

Performance:
113,6hp / 84,7 kw ATW and 140nm ATW - on the K.A.R Performance dyno, 20th January 2010.
You can start there but when you want more? When you want more its going to cost you more, instead of going 16v the first time.
A stock ABF makes between 120-130hp
Its up to you. There's a forum member (Torker) that has a 8v making 135hp.

Only reason why i didnt go ABF the 1st round in my ex-citi was because of funds. Ended up buy a AGG motor.

Fitted a 282 Estas
Brospeed Branch
50-57mm Powerflow (was already fitted)
UniQ (already fitted)
Some mild porting on the head

Made 110kw 196nm after the install and tune, about 3months later just did a power run again on a different dyno and car made just over 111kw 195nm. FYI i live down at the coast.

Car did consistent 14.8 - 14.9 on the strip in full street trim...so i was happy with that.

Car treated me very well...used it in traffic to and from work.

Still miss that torque. :(

My setup is also based on the AGG

Have a 288 Estas i need to install with a TNT branch and straight through 57mm.

Car is going to TopEnd racing at the end of next week for the tuning of my Gotech Mini-X and installation of the cam so i am hoping to be in the 105-110kw range as well.

Hi guys,

will vr6 injectors make a difference from my standard 1.4i fuel rail??

I went to go test drive that motor form sjs, and i must say im very impressed.

It goes like hell(for me) and i think it will keep me busy for about a year before ill think of upgrading...
i still believe there is one or two things that can be done to get some extra out of it from the get go..any advise on this specific motor??

What about this engin that SJS wants to sell....

Most 2.0/8V's I've seen on here with the usual mods and 276 cam makes just over 80kW atw at Kar or RBTS, SJS's engine is actually stronger than most.

No. And neither will adding a cone filter. When we joke about it, it's exactly that. A joke.

That is friggin strong. No jokes. I know you can't compare dyno's, but on panic's dyno last year, 2.0 8valves with 288 cam and headwork were running about 110hp. That motor of sjs is strong.

To give you an idea, I moved from a modified 1.4i to a 2.0 8v. My motor made 95hp on Dastek's dyno, and it's a hoot to drive. On wet roads, you can't just drop the hammer in first. You will spin. Sometimes even on a dry road. And this is with a 268 cam.

Uhm...i really don't know what the damn hype is with VR6 Injectors? if you take the individual cylinder size, its 44cc's smaller than a 2L 4Cyl engine....

4 VR6 Injectors caters for about 1866cc's of engine.

BOOM VR6 Injectors shoot in less fuel than 2L 4Cyl Injectors each....

geez guys - thanx very much for the info, starting to make al;ot of sense.

his motor is very strong yes, its a real fees to drive and alot of fun.

cone filter - hahaha, thats just for the "coolness" i know but alot of people are talking cold air induction or forced induction. or is that just a fancy name for a cone filter???

im very excited about the new build, and playing around with new things, a mate of mine said i should skim 0.04mm of the head and do a 288 cam and considder ITB'S??

What do you guys think??

No, Forced Induction, means the induction of air is forced, by either a Turbo- or supercharger

Bud, the 288 is just a cam swop. Will give more horses, higher up in the rev range. Simple mod, and will yield results. As for the itb's, can't really comment. But from what I've learned, the make big power. If used correctly. They are also hellish expensive if you're looking at Precision or Jenvey. IIRC they're in the region of +-R10k. BUT, there is also the toyota throttle bodies that the guys like to use. They are ALOT cheaper.
