Or

If 1.4 or 1.6 engine then rather leave because you will waste your money...

Hi sorry,

Polo model: Polo 6 or new shape polo
Engine size: 1.6

I'm roughly looking to boost some performance but don't need modification such as a turbo, only minor changes that just improves little performance for now

Thanks

I was looking at k&N short ram filters or cold intake filters. Good idea?

its been proven that the stock air box and the paper filter gives best performance for these small engines.

fitting a cone intake or panel filter might make you sound fast but wont do anything else.

Sell it and buy a Polo Gti, Do not modify a car under warranty you will just risk it and waste your time and money.

you can do what ever you want, but you will be wasting your money and the possibility of loosing the warranty!

There are such small gains to be had on the N/A motor.
Rather do not mod.

Save up and by a Turbo and then you can really see some gains.

Sorry for the harsh words, but it is the truth.

You can do what you would like but it may not necessarily be recommended or a good idea. The 1.4 and 1.6 Polo motors aren't renowned for their performance potential and are very limited in terms of performance modifications, never mind that fiddling with a car well within its manufacturers warranty isn't always the best idea if you can't afford to fix what you may break...

By fitting a filter you might jump 1hp if you fit a full exhaust system, There you will feel a small increase in power but your warranty will be void, Almost all the guys that toyed with small capacity N/A went and swapped it for a bigger engine as this is the best way to make more power. Best will be either a Polo Gti or if that is to much for you sell the polo and buy something out of warranty like a Golf 5 Gti and modify that but be warned if something goes wrong.

Your friend may have been ripped off then, **** me if I am going to pay for a faulty turbo because I fitted lower suspension while my car is in warranty...

I also told him to fight it but some issues with a cv joint came from the car being lowered and they said he voided his warranty, He sold the car now and bought a stock one.

I didn't when I fitted 17" Mags, Eibach springs and Angel Eye headlights, Still had the turbo recall done by VW after all that.

I obviously didn't try claim for shocks or a steering rack.

Make it a panty dropper! :hi:
Those polo's are good looking cars...
A nice set of wheels, some vw approved springs, and other cosmetics (HID's etc) and you have a winner!
