Why is it doing that when im in traffic. :roll:

Timing / tuning or burnt / leaking intake vale.

Were is the inlet valve located and what must my timming be because i did advanced my timmig.

So what did you advanced your timing to? You sure you didn't retard it as that will cause backfire in the intake. You need to do stuff like that with a timing light in hand.

Not to sound funny but if you don't know where the intake valves are I'm sceptical about the fact that you say you advanced the timing.. take the car to someone with a timing light that knows what they are doing and get them to redo the timing.

lol my car also does that ,i think it sounds cool. it scares the hell out of pedestrians walking across my car at the robot

i used to get this when my coil had a crack in, but only when revving the car. can this be timing as well, as I dont get it anymore with the new coil but just worried the timing might still be out.

i have vcds and can check the timing, but i dont know what the normal avg reading should say on golf 4 1.6

you cannot adjust the timing on a mk4 1.6
