Hi Guys
I need to get the cambelt changed on my 2012 polo vivo 1.4. Can anyone recommend a reliable RMI approved service Centre / mechanic in DBN.
The stealerships want way too much for this service.
From my review of similar posts TSC and Durbcorp seem to be recommended. But I’m
unsure if they are RMI approved. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

A 2012 polo vivo 1.4 does not have a cambelt, it has a maintenance free timing chain, so you are not required to change it unless you have issues.Donny_G wrote:Hi Guys

Thanks guys. Clearly the person I spoke to at VW either didn't know what they were talking about or they wanted to make some money of me.

The chain tensioner goes, chain slips, timing jumps and bent valves. If you can hear a rattle sound when ever you come of the pedal then it's a sign of the chain rattling.
