Glow plug light flashing 1.6tdi

Good morning guys.

My VW Polo 1.6 TDI starts to have the glow plug light flashing every time after continuously driving some 60 kilometers or so.
The car pulls fine and no abnormal sounds noticed. If you switch it off for five minutes and restarts the light stops flashing until the next 60 kilometers of continuous driving.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Check you glow plugs, you might have a dead or dying glow plug.

I have a 1.6 Tdi CR and had a similar issue, found glow plug nr. 1 was dead.
You can test it with a multi meter. My good glowp plugs gave a 1.7 ohm reading the dead one 35.9 ohm. You can easily test from your glow plug controller connecter, it should be situated at the battery looks like a relay.
