DPF issue. Engine management light illuminated. 2.0 Tdi Golf VII

Hi all,

Have had my engine management light come on, sensors are reporting that DPF is becoming blocked. Replacing seems to be costly.
Alternatively removing it and reprogramming the ECU is an option and less costly. Anybody had any joy having the DPF cleaned or serviced,
have tried the instructions for regenerating it by driving at 2500rpm etc and used a diesel engine cleaning additive etc. Fault returns normally a
hundred or so km after being cleared. Mileage 150k. Any advice would be appreciated.
