Re: Gearboxs swap
What is the gearbox codes on these two gearboxes?
If you can provide that, I can help with info on the gear ratios and speed or you can google the gearbox code to get the gear ratios for that code gearbox or get the info on this link found on the internet, https://www.zelek.com/diagram_Charts/diagramlist.htm.
Was the previous (now broken 1.9 TDI) gearbox 5 speed (02J gearbox, with one of these codes DQY, EBJ, EGR, GQQ or JCR)? That will explain why the gearbox mount differs.

Re: Gearboxs swap
You need to clearance the bearing runout for the correct clearance or you will end up destroying the gearbox due to too tight bearing clearance.Jakkels85 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 9:58 amThank you will send you the codes this afternoon is i have striped the old box wanted to see of i could do the bearings my self but going to need to press them off and on again.PapaJo wrote:What is the gearbox codes on these two gearboxes?
