2012 T5 Caravelle Slow On Revs Uptake

Hi. I have a 2012 T5 and I am noticing that when I need to accelerate i.e. on green traffic light, the car takes long to build up revs. Even if I put my foot down. I have changed all filters etc checked and I have no issues with Turbos or anything. Apart from the slow uptake the car runs fine.

What engine does the car have?

Have you had the car scanned for fault codes? Does the car 'feel' fine after a certain rpm?

I think ill have it checked out at VW. I just thought its an easy fix.

You say you changed all filters, so if you changed the air filter, did you remove the plug of the air mass flow sensor and perhaps forgot to plug it back in?
This happened to me, and my 1.9 TDI had exactly those symptoms. Ran totally sluggish, but otherwise fine.

That or what I have seen with other VNT turbo TDI engines is vanes that get stuck, either open or closed so you either have no boost initially or not boost at higher rpm.
