ATM CHIPTUNING

Hi guys,

Anyone here who has any experience from ATM Chiptuning?

Well my dad took his Hilux 3.0 D4D to them and they did a software optimization and he is as happy as a pig in ****, same for a friend of mine with a new Navara 2.3 diesel and next door neighbor with a 2.5 Nissan Xtrail diesel.

Al three of them is happy and not a single problem with the vehicles at all.

All 3 reported power gains, and fuel consumption came down.

I personally drove the Hilux a few times and best was 350km on half tank of diesel, 75L tank. Since SW was done, it went to 500 - 580 km on half tank. (Right foot dependent)

Just want to know what experiences you guys have had with ATM if there is any.

The gauges on those are never accurate. Rather use fill up to fill up to gauge the consumption.

Any dyno figures to show increase in kw and torque?

Don't have personal experience but they seem to have a good reputation. Were some of the first guys who could do an ECU remap on the Toyota d4d ecu's

I can personally recomend ATM CHIPTUNING AKA WALCON VAAL, professional service and the performance I got after Decat,DPF delete and EGR blank off with SW.. I can only say WOW!!!!!!

ATM was amazing, -12 Degrees timing pull on all cylinders on my B7 1.8T on all 3 revisions. 128kw on the dyno, 8kw more than stock. On a positive note they pushed me to start learning how to tune it myself and well, I did a stellar job in the end. Thanks ATM

Ah. So guesswork numbers. Yeah available most saturdays for a quick run or week days after 15:00.

I did some research and as per website all software is tested on a rolling road.

That is the claimed figures as well as per their website

Steve Auto Clinic Vanderbijlpark charges about R1000 they guy who did the SW don't have a dyno.

Take my word for it when I say his shop is much more bussier with software updates than a chinese airport over christmas season

Sounds more like a software update/download shop and off you go setup, due to no dyno before and after software. I’m old school and prefer to see the evidence on paper.

Sounds more like a software update/download shop and off you go setup, due to no dyno before and after software. I’m old school and prefer to see the evidence on paper.

Hi Dub guys I am so confused and really appreciate all feedback, I recently bought a mk1 golf as a project but this engine has been worked and stroked and also not running 100%. The problem comes in for me to figure out what to do to fix and correct this engine with this mods. 1600 block 1800 crank bore size 82.5 the engineers told me it's a worked 1300 head with standard cam and values. So I need to replace pistons ( what pistons) to fit the bore, engineers said the can fix the head but I need bigger values ( what values) and the big question is does this set up even work well or not
