1.9 tdi loosing coolant

hi guys my 09 jetta tdi 1.9 bxe looses coolant till just under sensor in water bottle (+-1.2l) in about 150km any thing to look out for? Otherwise car runs fine

Hi bud, first thing would be to check for any leaks in your coolant system. Check all of your coolant pipes for leaks, a puddle of water under the car would be a dead giveaway. If its not that it could be your headgasket on its way as coolant loss is one of symptoms.

Check the block on cambelt side from underneath.to see if water pump is leaking...also inspect the water bottle itself...it leaks at the seams

Check ur heater radiator not sure if that's what they call it ...its in the dash board my 1.9 tdi done the same thing

Inhave never even looked at one of those so don't know it it has but if there is an egr cooler start by bypassing the water supply to that and see if it stops using water.

when mine lost coolant it was the hose running to around there the tandem pump is, it was swollen, i had a small diesel leak from the fuel temp sensor when i bought the car and it rotted that pipe.

there is also a housing at the back that can leak (audi is at the back longitudinal mounted)
