Hi all, I'm a new member so forgive me if this is posted in a wrong section etc, let me know!
I drive a '07 Passat B6 2.0TDI with a modest tune.
Driving along yesterday, *clink* and vibrations and scrubbing sounds. I pull over right away and notice the entire engine sitting on my radiator fans. (stock engine mounts otherwise) Turns out, The bolt actually connecting the Dogbone mount to the gearbox sheared right off. (See Pic) I don't want to point fingers but the only shop that touched it besides myself, was for a clutch job. Could this have been related to over-tightening or cross threading it with an impact, causing metal fatigue?
Anyway, I need to drill it out somehow; but I want some 3rd party input first xD I do have a screw extractor + tap and die kit.

Re: B6 Passat Dogbone Mount BROKEN
It could be any of those scenarios.
Over tighten
under tighten
cross thread.
remove the bolt, make sure the thread is clean. Install new. Get on with your life.
