Hi all,
I am new to this club and I need your help,
I have a Mk4 Jetta 1.9 Tdi and recently I have noticed that every time I start and drive the car is like in limp mode and no power then when it hits 2.5 revs the car boosts and has power but still a little sluggish.
I check all the air pipes and no leaks, check turbo and it's ok.
Any ideas what it can be?

Re: Mk4 Jetta Tdi no power
Exactly how did you check the turbo. It can be a semi stuck vane or the vanes having carbon on and not going full movement. Also can be a faulty air flow meter. do you have vcds?.

Re: Mk4 Jetta Tdi no power
Ok.
Do you know if he checked the vanes for full movement. IE does it go to the mechanical stop?.
Without having done that you basically cannot rule it out and without checking it in VCDS you don't know if the turbo is making the correct boost and neither if the airflow meter is working.
So basically the only thing you can do is to check that all the vacuum pipes are in good condition.

Re: Mk4 Jetta Tdi no power
Hi guys I'm new to this group.
I have a 2004 polo 1.4 3 cylinder tdi AMF that is going into limp mode.
For starters I want to replace all vacuum hoses, but some idiot i got to help me changed all the pipes at the solenoid box to check if the problem persists. Now its even worse and I'm going to do it myself.
Can anyone tell me where i can get a diagram or photos of where all the pipes should be.
Any help will be highly appreciated
