Not all TDIs are created equal. This thread started with a PD-type TDI ("Pumpe-Düse" = unit injector). If your Jetta 4 is not a PD , but a VE ("Verteiler-Einspritz" = distributor injection pump) engine, then you don't need these fancy 505.01 oils. The VE engine is a "normal", old-school diesel engine that doesn't have the extreme-pressure, high-shear conditions on the camshaft. The LiquiMoly 4100 would actually be overkill. A 505.00 such as the Shell Ultra will do just fine.
To my knowledge, most (if not all) the Mk 4 Golfs and Jettas sold in South Africa were actually VE, not PD. Have a look at the engine code (listed on your licence disc). If it's AHF, then it's the VE engine. You can also recognise the VE by its cam-belt-driven injection pump with steel injection lines going to the four injectors.

Hi guys. So, after all checks and oil and filter replacement, new cambelt, brakes ect, I did the long haul to Dbn from Jhb today. The traffic was a fkn nightmare. I left my home at 02:48am, when I hit the N1 off Gordon, the traffic was already bad, but by the time I got to Vosloorus it was bumper to bumper.
Anyway, the ASZ 9N ran great! 631Km = 31.2L Diesel = 20.2Km/L. Not bad in my books.

DPF or not 507 is fine. You don't need a special oil for them like the PD motors. IE. there is no special lubricant requirement for lifters like the PD motors. So if it is common rail, which CLC is then even something like shell ultra 5-40 will make it quite happy.
it's really the PD motors which has a specific requirement and DPF equipped cars need a 507 oil and 507is also fine even if there is no DPF as 507 supersedes or can be used for 505 needy engines ( except the PD which must have 506 and which yours isn't)
Don't over complicate things.
